Create your first estimate in minutes

Get up and running with Kwantflow quickly. This guide walks you through the full workflow — from installation to a completed estimate draft.

1. Install Kwantflow

If you haven’t already, download and install Kwantflow from kwantflow.com/download. See the Installation guide for detailed setup instructions.

2. Create a Workspace

Workspaces are where your estimating data lives.

  1. Launch Kwantflow
  2. Click New Workspace
  3. Give your workspace a name (e.g. “My Company”)
  4. Choose a scope:
    • Workspace — data is shared across all devices signed into your account
    • Local — data stays on this machine only
  5. Click Create

3. Add Records

Records are the building blocks of your estimates — materials, labour rates, equipment, and subcontractor rates.

Type a natural language request into the input bar:

Concrete 40MPa at $250/m3

Kwantflow will propose a material record for review. Try a few more:

Welder at $88/hr
Tower Crane at $450/hr
Fire Protection at $55/point

Each record type routes to the correct table automatically.

4. Review and Save

Before a record is saved, Kwantflow shows you a preview:

  1. Review the proposed record details
  2. Adjust the name, rate, or unit if needed
  3. Click Save to add it to your records

5. Generate a Draft

Once you have records in your workspace, you can generate an estimate draft:

  1. Open the Drafts section
  2. Click New Draft
  3. Describe your project — include scope, quantities, and any special instructions
  4. Kwantflow generates a structured draft with line items, costs, and categories
  5. Review and adjust as needed
