Workspace and backup issues

I cannot create another workspace

Check the account’s current workspace allowance. The desktop app should explain when capacity has been reached.

If you need another workspace, remove one you no longer need only after protecting its data, or increase the applicable account capacity.

I opened the wrong workspace

Open workspace management and switch to the intended workspace before creating records, importing data, or connecting email.

Anything created in the wrong workspace stays there until you correct it manually. Workspaces do not merge automatically.

Records appear to be missing after switching

Confirm the active workspace name. Each workspace has its own records.

If you are in the correct workspace:

  1. Clear any table search or filter.
  2. Check archived views where applicable.
  3. Restart the app if the screen did not refresh after switching.
  4. Use a backup only when you have evidence that local data was actually replaced or removed.

A workspace cannot be deleted

The app may require you to type the workspace name to confirm deletion.

Before retrying:

  • confirm you selected the intended workspace;
  • close work that is still using it;
  • create a backup if you may need the data;
  • check whether the workspace is the only active environment available to the installation.

A backup is not listed

Workspace restore points are local to the device and workspace. Check that you are viewing backups for the intended workspace on the computer where the backup was created.

Restore is taking longer than expected

Do not force-close the app while a restore is active. Replacing workspace data requires the current workspace to stop using its files before the restore can finish safely.

The restored workspace looks older than expected

That is expected when the selected restore point predates later changes. A restore replaces the current workspace state; it does not merge old and new records.

I restored the wrong point

Stop making further changes. Check whether a newer restore point is available, then review its date and workspace identity before restoring again.
